Dr Girish Rao, MDS, FDSRCS (Eng), FFDRCSI (Ire), FDSRCS (Edn) Founder and DirectorDr Rao completed his under-graduation from the Govt. Dental College (Bangalore) where he secured 1st rank throughout and won 2 gold medals from Bangalore University. He also holds a post-graduate degree in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from the Govt. Dental College (Madras).

Dr Rao trained in the UK for 8 years in all aspects of Faciomaxillary Surgery and secured two fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons ngland and Ireland. He has also worked as the Senior Registrar at the prestigious St. Barts and the Royal London Hospital, one of the oldest hospitals n the world.

He returned to India in 1999 and worked as a Consultant Faciomaxillary Surgeon at various super-speciality hospitals like NIMHANS, HCG, Shankara Cancer Hospital, Sagar Hospitals, Apollo Hospitals, Trust Well Hospital, and more. He has also served as a Professor and Head, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the RV Dental College & Hospital for 17 years.

Dr Rao has published more than 25 papers in several international journals, has been a keynote speaker in several national and international conferences, and has authored chapters in the international edition of the Hamilton Bailey’s Clinical Methods in General Surgery and Le-fort Access Osteotomy in Juvenile Angiofibroma. He was conferred the Honorary Fellowship by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2019 and was also appointed as an Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons.

He is the President of the South Asian Society of Maxillofacial Implantology, and the Founder-Director of the Implant Study Group as well as MyDentalPlan Healthcare. Dr Rao was also the Vice President and Executive Committee Member of the Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons of India and is currently the Honorary General Secretary-Elect of the Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons of India.

Dr Anandakrishna G N is a renowned Prosthodontist and Implantologist with extensive clinical and teaching experience in Implantology and Complex restorative protocols. He is a graduate of the Govt. Dental College (Bangalore) and completed his MDS in Prosthodontics from the AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences (Mangalore).

Dr Anandakrishna is the first Board Certified Prosthodontist from the Indian Board of Prosthodontics, and a Diplomate of the ICOI. He has been in academic teaching and has served in various institutions. His final tenure was as a Professor at the MS Ramaiah Dental College (Bangalore).

Dr Anandakrishna also occupied various designations at several national and international organizations. Some of them include - Secretary of the Indian Board of Prosthodontists; Secretary of the Indian Prosthodontic Society (Bangalore); Ambassador ICOI; and Vice President of the Indian Prosthodontic Society. He was also the Secretary of the Karnataka Prosthodontic Society, Scientific Coordinator ICOI (South Asia), and an Executive Council Member of IPS. Dr Anandakrishna also founded My Dental Plan, 3 dent DDS and the Implant Study Group.

Dr Shilpi Ajwani is the Head of Oral Health Research and Oral Health Promotion at the SLHD Oral Health Services and Sydney Dental Hospital. She started her research career at University of Helsinki, Finland where she was one of the investigators in the Helsinki Ageing Study – a study of home dwelling elderly aged 75 years and over living in Helsinki, Finland. She subsequently completed her Doctorate in Odontology (PhD) from the same University. She has also worked at Wellington School of Medicine & Statistics NZ, Wellington, New Zealand as an investigator in the New Zealand Census-Mortality Study (NZCMS) – part of the Health Inequalities Research Programme.

Dr Ajwani is currently one of the key investigators in the Midwifery Initiated Oral Health Program; a pioneering research focussing on promoting oral health care during pregnancy and one of the lead researchers in the PrIOR Project; a cost-effective strategy for delivering Preventive and Interceptive orthodontic care by public dentists. Her other areas of research interests include modalities for managing tooth decay, association between periodontal disease and general health and tobacco cessation practices among dentists. She has published scientific research papers in numerous dental and medical journals and presented papers in various national and international conferences.

Dr Ajwani has also been involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. She was the Colgate lecturer at School of Dentistry, University of Otago, New Zealand and is currently a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Sydney.

Dr. Meetu Ralli Kohli is Clinical Associate Professor and Director for Continuing Education and International Visiting Scholar Program at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, Endodontic department. She is a member of the Dean’s advisory council. Dr. Kohli earned her B.D.S. degree from Government Dental College, Bangalore, India. She pursued her D.M.D. degree as well as specialty training in Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania, USA.

During the course of her training she received the esteemed Louis I Grossman award, the Samuel R. Rossman scholarship and the Sherrill Ann Siegel award & scholarship for demonstrating excellence in patient care, clinical skills and research. She is a member of Dean’s Council, School of Dental Medicine, UPENN. She is on the Scientific Advisory Board as a reviewer for Journal of Endodontics, International Endodontic Journal and Quintessence International. Dr. Kohli has published in national and international peer reviewed journals and has contributed in books on microsurgical retreatment. Her publications have been recognized as the best clinical research paper or honorary mentions by JOE. She is the recommended speaker by the AAE for Microsurgery and Prognosis. She has served on the AAE’s Constitution and Bylaws committee and currently serves in the Research and Scientific Affairs Committee.

She is a Director of the Board of Trustees and Diplomate of American Board of Endodontics. She is an examiner for the Indian Board of Endodontics. Dr. Kohli also maintains part-time private practices limited to Endodontics in Pennsylvania, USA.

Dr. Rodrigo Marinho was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He obtained his dental degree at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and his training in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery was mainly carried out in the UK at King´s College London, University College Hospital and The Royal London Hospitals. He also obtained an MSc degree in Oral Surgery at Kings College Hospital. Dr Marinho further completed his surgical training with fellowships at the A.Z. St Jan Brugge, Belgium and Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Center, Halifax, Canada.

Dr. Marinho has over thirty years’ experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, with special interest in implant and implant-related surgery, orthognathic surgery and minor oral surgery. He is a fellow of the Brazilian College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Royal College of Surgeons England. Dr Marinho is a registered Oral Surgeon Specialist in Brazil and the UK.

He is currently the Head of Department, Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Lifecenter Hospital and IPSEMG Hospital in Brazil. He also works in Oral Surgery private practice, in Brazil and the UK. Dr. Marinho has lectured extensively in Brazil and abroad and has also published extensively in peer-reviewed journals.

Joe is currently an Hon. Visiting Professor at MM University, India. He is a registered specialist in Prosthodontics and Oral Surgery and limits his practice to Implant and Restorative Dentistry. His clinical time is spent as a private referral practitioner at the Moor Park Specialist Dental Centre. He has also been a Clinical Lecturer for the Master of Clinical Dentistry program at the Eastman Dental Institute in London.

He is currently a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), Fellow of the International College of Dentists (ICD) and Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry.

Acquired his Graduate Training in Dental Public Health from University of Minnesota, MN, Residency Training in Family Dentistry from Forsyth Dental Center, Boston, MA followed by Postdoctoral Fellowship from Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA.

Currently, working as Dental Practice Management Consultant to many Dental offices, setting up Aesthetic and Family Dentistry programs. Private Practice limited to Cosmetic & Family Dentistry, Cranston, RI. Enjoys doing Cosmetic Dentistry and Smile Makeovers.

Dr Bhat obtained his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts. Dr Bhat is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. In addition Dr Bhat has had extensive training and experience from studying and working abroad, in India and Dubai. Dr Bhat continues to be involved in his local community and is an active member of the Eagles Landing Community Master Association.

Professionally, he is an active member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Academy of General dentistry and the Hinman Dental Committee. Being involved in these organisations, coupled with the numerous Continuing Education programs, help Dr Bhat to be in sync with the latest trends in dentistry. Dr Bhat AKA "Batman" Ioves to run outdoors and has successfully completed the Boston Marathon four times. He is a regular participant of our own Peachtree Road Race for many years now. Dr Bhat enjoys spending time with his lovely family and his large circle of friends. Movies and gardening are a passion when he finds free time !

Austen Smith is a senior OMFS Consultant in the South Yorkshire Regional Unit with interests in head and neck surgery, reconstructive, laser techniques and head and neck/intracranial vascular lesions.

He has extensive experience of advanced collaborative neurovascular techniques, technically advanced 3D generated reconstructive concepts and management of difficult iatrogenic diagnoses such as OsteoRadioNecrosis and medication-related jaw necrosis.

He is an elected member of the Specialty Advisory Committee running UK OMFS Specialist Training. Austen represents BAOMS and the specialty on the Training Interface Group governing super specialist areas in head and neck.

He regularly participates in recruitment panels for OMFS and Head & Neck training, is currently rewriting the syllabus for H&N specialist training in the UK and has input to National Expert Working Groups in Head & Neck and Dentistry.

Austen contributes to UK National coding of OMFS and H&N procedures, is on the Surgical Specialty Board of RCSEd for OMFS, and has taught at regional, national and international levels for 20 years.

Dr Thomas Zachariah obtained his BDS degree from the College of Dental Surgery, Manipal and went on to complete his MDS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from A. B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore in 2005.

He worked as an Assistant Professor in the Dept of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Manipal College of Dental Sciences Mangalore till 2008, before proceeding for a 1-year surgical fellowship program at the Meenakshi Cleft & Craniofacial Centre, Meenakshi Ammal Dental College & Hospital, Chennai.

He has continued since 2009 as a faculty in the Dept of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Meenakshi Ammal Dental College & Hospital, Chennai where he is presently working as Professor. Apart from publications, presentations, and guest lectures to his credit, he has also contributed chapters to the Textbook of Oral Medicine & Radiology by Ongole & Praveen, published by Elsevier Science.

He won best delegate paper award at the Tamil Nadu State AOMSI Conference held at Yercaud, February 2018.

He holds two patents, one a modified Lingual Flap Retractor for mandibular third molar surgery and sagittal-split ramus osteotomy and another a Maxillary Intra-oral Retractor. His fields of interest include orthognathic surgery, temporormandibular joint surgery, secondary deformity correction, reconstructive surgery, and rhinoplasty.

British Trained Oral Surgeon with Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Spent 4 years in United Kingdom for basic Oral surgical training. Dr Strong currently works within the Oral & Maxillofacial Department at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, England. Having graduated from King’s College London with honours she initially spent time in primary care advancing her skills in provision of core, general practice dentistry. During this time, she developed a keen interest in oral surgery and management of patients with complex medical histories. Keen to further these skills her next transition was to the Royal London Dental Hospital where she gained experience across a range of specialty area including Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine, Special Care Dentistry and Acute Dental Care. In 2020 she moved to Addenbrookes Hospital to focus on Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

She is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the British Society of Disability and Oral Health (BSDH) and the Association of British Academic Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ABAOMS). She is always keen to expand her skill set and keep abreast with the latest developments and therefore regularly attends key industry conferences, seminars and events. Her main interests are in the fields of Oral Surgery and Facial Aesthetics.

Dr. Girish Bharadwaj has a special interest in Implantology and have many years of experience working in this field. I qualified in India, studying first at Bangalore University then obtaining a Masters in Dentistry from the University of Kerala, with a focus on Prosthodontics and Maxillofacial Prosthetics. Since then I have undertaken extensive training in oral surgery and am a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. I have been practising Oral Surgery at Meadowbank since 2006. I am a diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. I lecture widely in oral surgery and implantology. I also work as an associate specialist in Oral Surgery at Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline.

Dr. Rohit Shetty is an M.D.S in Prosthodontics & Implantology. He completed his Postgraduation in the year 2000 from A B Shetty’s Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore.

Presently, he is working as a Professor & HOD in K.L.E.Society’s Institute of Dental Sciences, Bangalore. He maintains a private practice in Bangalore & focuses mainly on Fixed Prosthodontics & Complete dentures.

Dr. Rohit Shetty is an active member of the Indian Prosthodontic Society & Bangalore Prosthodontic Forum.
He has 113 presentations under his name in various conferences at National and International level. He also has 43 publications in various journals & his special interests include All Ceramic restorations, Implant prosthesis & Maxillo-facial prosthesis.

Graduated from A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Denal Sciences and has done her post graduation from MR Ambedkar Dental College, Bengaluru in 1995.

She is currently a Consultant at Manipal Hospitals, Old Airport Road ,Bangalore and also having a Private Practice . She has been practising Implantology since 23 years . She is the author of the text book ,‘ Essentials of Clinical Periodontology and Periodontics ‘ ,5 editions and also ‘ Mini Surgical Atlas in Periodontics ‘ Besides being actively involved in academics ,she has numerous national and international publications to her credit which have been extensively peer viewed and has delivered lectures in various National and International conferences in Periodontology and Implantology.

Dr Ranjani Rao is a practising family dental physician and Implantologist with a work experience of over 21 years. Dr Rao graduated from the prestigious RV Dental college Bengaluru and went on to do her MPhil in Healthcare management from BITS Pilani. She holds two fellowships in the field of Implantology and Orthodontics. She also has a mastership from the ICOI. She runs a private practice in Electronics city for the last 16 years. Her passion is in aesthetic dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation and has been closely associated with teaching and imparting advanced dental education at several platforms. Her academic achievements include a gold medal from The Bangalore University and an award for the best outgoing student for the year 2000. Dr Rao designed the first web based Electronics Health Record as part of her thesis and this was taken over for clinical research as a data collection and management tool. She lives in Bangalore with her husband and daughter.
